Class Deans

Each class at Oberlin has its own dean who serves as an initial point of contact for students. The class dean is an invaluable resource for students, faculty, staff, and parents. Each dean is available to help students solve various academic, social, and personal problems; as well as attain appropriate resources, particularly in crisis or emergency situations.

Class deans do not replace faculty advisors. Instead, they work in concert with faculty advisors to support students as they navigate the transitions of college life.
