Class Visits
Visiting a class is a great way to experience the academic life of Oberlin College. If your schedule permits, try to sit in on more than one class in any subject that piques your interest-the current course schedule is listed below, or you can browse by time or department.
We recommend that you either contact the instructor in advance or arrive to class early and introduce yourself. Browse course schedules for faculty names, then look up their individual contact information in Oberlin's online directory. When you use the pulldown menu to browse for courses, the faculty name comes up for each class. Classes typically meet for 50 minutes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or for 75 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday. If you are interested in a course that will not be meeting during your visit, feel free to contact the instructor and arrange a personal appointment.
Classes involving creative expression require prior approval for visits.
