Prospective students are invited to experience student life by staying overnight in a residence hall with a current student. This is a great opportunity to sample dining hall food, experience the campus community, and attend a variety of evening events.
Overnight visits are available on a limited basis, through one of two ways:
Admissions visit programs: Prospective students may participate in a variety of Admissions visit programs that may include an overnight stay. For more information and registration materials, please click here.
Arrange your own host: If you know a current Oberlin College student, feel free to arrange your own visit following these three steps:
- Confirm your student host.
- Call the Campus Visit Office at 1-800-622-6243 to confirm your stay and receive a visitor card which provides three meals on campus.
- Complete the Visitation Permission/Release form and submit it at least 3 days prior to your visit. Students who do not complete this form will not be permitted to stay overnight.
Students who choose to stay overnight should be prepared to sleep on a dorm room floor, and should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and toiletries.
