Greetings from Oberlin. My name is Josh Levy and I am a 1994 graduate of Oberlin with majors in History and Judaic Studies. After Oberlin, I went to Brandeis University for a Masters (1997) and to New York University for a PhD in Medieval Jewish History (2004). I have been working in the Admissions Office here since 2003.
I never imagined that I would return to Oberlin but I can’t imagine being anywhere else. Why is Oberlin such a wonderful community? The concerts, the world-class art museum, the restaurant options, the student theater, the Apollo (our two-screen movie theater). The students are among the best and brightest you’ll find and they are all looking for ways to use their education to ultimately give back and make the world a better place.
I look forward to helping you learn more about Oberlin’s distinctive features. I hope to see you on campus or when I travel in the fall. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch with me.
