I am a Cleveland, Ohio native who decided to stay close to home for my undergraduate education. Fortunately, I had the option to both stay in the Cleveland area and attend a top rated liberal arts school. I graduated from Oberlin College in 2004 with a BA in biology. What initially drew me to Oberlin College was the diversity (cultural, regional, economic, etc.) of the student body and the school’s academic reputation. After graduating, I worked for a biotechnology company and then decided to go to Temple University for graduate school. I have an MA in anthropology and I am currently working on a PhD in anthropology with a focus on medical anthropology and the medical tourism industry in Latin America.

I am very happy to be back at Oberlin and I look forward to meeting prospective students and their families. I hope that my experiences as both an admissions counselor and a student at Oberlin College can help you in your college search.
