Liz Hui

Hello! I'm originally from Gallipolis, OH, a historic river city located in southeast Ohio. I earned a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and a master's from Kent State University, and some of my favorite experiences in college were teaching English in Poland, interning at the American Cancer Society, and participating in an international case competition in Montreal. After graduation I worked in the private sector for a short time, but I soon made my way back to higher education where I enjoy meeting prospective students and their families, and working with them as they go through the college search and application process. I've been with Oberlin's Office of Admissions since 2010.

This year I'll be working with applications from southern California and central and eastern Ohio. In addition to reading applications, I also work with our Campus Visit office and would be happy to help you set up your trip to Oberlin, so please don't hesitate to call or email me. Hope to see you soon!

A tradition since the 1990s, Oberlin Conservatory of Music's Jazz Forums offer jazz studies students the chance to take center stage at the college-owned Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse as part of a small group ensemble. A feedback session that follows each set yields instant praise or critique. This type of studio class offers valuable learning experiences while building confidence among young musicians.
