Oberlin on the Road

Oberlin on the Road

Oberlin admissions counselors travel to major cities across the United States and abroad to talk with prospective students and high school counselors about all that Oberlin has to offer.

Our visits may include a stop at a high school, college fair, or other event in your area. Faculty members, alumni, and administrators often accompany admissions staff members to international locations to assist in recruitment efforts, meet prospective students, and offer first-hand examples of Oberlin's academic program, financial aid offerings, campus life, and more.

If we are not scheduled to visit your state or country this year, we are still interested in you and welcome your application. We can arrange for you to speak to an Oberlin graduate living in your area or to a current Oberlin student from your region. Contact the admissions office with your questions at 800-622-6243 or 440-775-8411, or e-mail to college.admissions@oberlin.edu.

Keep in mind that travel plans sometimes change on short notice. Please confirm our visits through your school or by calling us at 800-622-6243. New visits and fairs are added every day, so check back often.

Students who wish to pursue topics outside of traditional courses, an important alternative is available in the Experimental College (ExCo). Founded in 1968, ExCo is a student-run organization that sponsors courses (for limited academic credit) taught Oberlin faculty, students, administrators, and residents. Rock climbing, performance swing, astrology, 16-mm film production, jump rope, bike mechanics, henna body art… you name it, ExCo may have a class about it.
