Educational Background

Graham McDougal was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and has taught in the Department of Art at Cornell University since 2004. He studied at Cumbria College of Art and Design in Carlisle, England, and at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland, before earning an MFA at Southern Illinois University. He has exhibited work at José Bienvenu Gallery and Printed Matter Inc. in New York, I-Space and Gardenfresh Gallery in Chicago, Philadelphia’s Print Center, and Bunkier Sztuki Contemporary Art in Krakow, Poland. He has received grants from the Scottish International Education Trust, Cornell Council for the Arts, and New York Foundation for the Arts. McDougal’s recent projects include a collaborative sound and sculpture installation with Anthony Graves at Gallery St. Vitus in London, and an editions project for the SP Weather Station in Long Island City, New York.
