Apollo Theatre

The Apollo Theatre in Oberlin is synonymous with consistent family friendly movies shown at reasonable prices. For 96 years, the downtown movie theater has opened its doors to enthusiastic patrons, ready to see the latest offering shown reel-to-reel from a single screen. The recently renovated theater, at 19 E. College St., has 840 seats, an indoor ticket center, an expanded concession area, a new sound system and digital projector, updated handicapped-accessible restroom facilities, and its signature 1950s-style marquee in the front.

Lewis Annex

The Adam Joseph Lewis Center (AJLC) Annex is a renovated 19th-century home located at 132 Elm Street in Oberlin, Ohio. It houses college offices, the Graduate Teacher Education Program and lab space for the Environmental Studies program. The home was renovated to include environmentally sustainable features such as, a composting toilet, energy efficient double-paned windows, and cellulose as a recycled and environmentally friendly insulation. The south-facing porch of the building was turned into a sunroom mainly for horticultural uses.

Rice Hall

Completed in 1910 and named in memory of Conservatory Director Fenelon B. Rice, this four-story stone structure was designed by architect Arthur B. Jennings in the Romanesque style. Offices for the departments of African-American studies, creative writing, economics, English, history, Jewish studies, Latin American studies, politics, religion, and women's studies are located in Rice.
