Professor Forman teaches courses in Russian language, literature and film (among them “Sinner or Satan? Writing Stalin in Russian Literature,” “Delusions and Grandeur: The Myth of Petersburg,” “Russian Cinema” and “Re-envisioning Russia”). Her research interests include language pedagogy and Soviet/post-Soviet prose and cinema. She serves on the Advisory Board of The Realia Project and writes for the on-line journal Kinokultura: New Russian Cinema. Her article on the Petersburg prose of Bella Ulanovskija (1943-2005) appeared in the volume Odinokoe pis’mo (Secluded Writing) published by New Literary Review in 2010.
