Pawan Dhingra's latest book is LIfe Behind the Lobby: Indian American Motel Owners and the American Dream (Stanford University Press). It has been featured on National Public Radio, The Wall Street Journal, Colorlines Magazine, and other media. He also is Founding Curator and Senior Advisor of HomeSpun: Smithsonian Indian American Heritage Project, at the Smithsonian Institution. He currently is co-authoring a textbook for Polity Press, entitled The Sociology of Asian Americans. He is on leave from Oberlin College.
