The Center for Information Technology offers many ways in which you may receive computer help at Oberlin. We operate two computer Help Desk sites in addition to a telephone line (440-775-8197) and an e-mail list to answer your technology questions. Faculty, staff, and students may visit either location for assistance with account, password, software, and hardware issues.
The main CIT Help Desk, in Mudd Center, Level A, room 005, is staffed on weekdays during normal business hours. The second help desk is on the main level of Mudd Center in the Academic Commons and is staffed with student employees after regular business hours and on weekends.
The Oberlin College Technology Store sells Apple and Hewlett Packard Professional Line computers. The Help Desk is an authorized hardware repair center for these specific brands, though we will be able to help troubleshoot software on all computers.
