Voice

Two contrasting selections in French, German, Italian, or English. All works should be performed from memory. Recordings must carry statements that performances have been memorized. Accompanists will be provided for on campus voice auditions. Applicants auditioning at a regional site must provide their own accompanists.

NOTE:  Applicants wishing to audition for the Artist Diploma program MUST come to campus for their audition.

All applicants in voice interested in auditioning on campus are required to submit a recording (audio or video) via the Oberlin Conservatory of Music Audition Dropbox prior to being invited to campus. If you do not want to be invited to audition on campus, you may submit a video recorded audition via the dropbox. Regional auditions do not require a screening recording.

  • Audition requirements as listed above
  • Must be submitted in addition to the Unified Application for Music and Performing Arts Schools and a $100 (US dollar) application fee. A recording will not be reviewed without receipt of the application and fee. The application fee is paid online when submitting the Unified Application for Music and Performing Arts Schools.
