Community Music School
The Community Music School, established in 2003, is dedicated to providing students with an exceptional educational and artistic experience while fostering a lifelong appreciation of and commitment to excellence in music. The school serves as the pre-collegiate program for the Conservatory. Through the study and creation of music, students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds have the opportunity to express their artistic creativity.
Private lessons and classes are available to community members ages 3 and older. Registration is first come, first served; need-based scholarships to assist in tuition reduction is available to those who qualify.
The school is located in the Burrell-King House, an historic landmark and Greek Revival structure renovated through a grant from the Nord Family Foundation. Take a class to learn how to play a stringed instrument or learn how to sing or write music. Whatever your musical interest or talent, exposure to programs offered at the school are apt to nurture the musician within.
