Audition & Application
Audition Requirements
SINGERS
- Two arias or art songs - all in Italian, one aria with a recitative.
- If you would like to be considered for a role, please include an aria from the opera. Please send a video recording if you are unable to perform a live audition.
STRINGS
- one movement of an unaccompanied Bach sonata
- an exposition of a 20th or 21st century concerto or a sonata

WINDS and Brass
- A first movement of a classical sonata or concerto
- A selection of your choice from the 20th or 21st century
PIANISTS
- A work demonstrating the pianist's technical and musical development
- An operatic piano score excerpt
- A collaborative recording or performance with a singer and/or a selection of instrumental chamber music
RECORDED AUDITIONS

Recorded audition: DVDs for singers, CD or DVD for pianists and instrumentalists, and all application materials must be received by February 10, 2010.
LIVE AUDITIONS
Application materials due December 1st; after this date, on a space-available basis.
Regional auditions are recorded by the Conservatory Office of Admissions. Please bring your own accompanist.

Application
Please submit your application and fee no later than December 1, 2010 to secure a spot in our regional live auditions.
We will accommodate late requests for regional auditions as the schedule permits.
All other application materials to include recordings in lieu of a live audition must be submitted no later than February 10, 2010.
Please be sure to read the information on the required documents needed to travel and attend the program. These documents are the passport and student visa.
