Academic Departments and Programs

Academic departments offering specific courses featuring study of this region include Art History, African American Studies, Anthropology, Economics, English, History, Jewish Studies, Politics, Religion, and Sociology. In addition, students interested in Comparative American Studies, International Studies and Third World Studies may find curricular offerings dealing with this area of the world. Winter -Term Projects

Group winter-term projects in this region have recently included several programs in Israel sponsored by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and the Department of Environmental Studies.
