Alumni Awards

Oberlin College’s Alumni Association has established five awards to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements to the College, to society at large, and to the Association: the Alumni Medal, the Distinguished Achievement Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the Alumni Appreciation Award.

2011 Award Recipients 

  • Alumni Medal: Dr. Wendell M. Logan (posthumous)
  • Distinguished Achievement Award: Karen Pollitz '80
  • Distinguished Service Award: Betsy Samuelson Greer ’61 
  • Outstanding Young Alumni Award: Aimee Lee '99 
  • Alumni Appreciation Award: Dick Anderson '54  
  • Volunteer of the Year Awards: Sally Kerr '61, 50th reunion directory; Erin Herlihy '97 and Kari Wethington '03, regional coordinators; Nachie Castro '98, Oscar Reyes '95, and Jes Sheridan '98, admissions coordinators; Chloe Bird '86, chair of 25th Reunion Gift Committee
