He has instructed students with a range of experience from elementary, middle, and high school age through college students and adults. He assists with the youth jazz program at Cuyahoga Community College and has been a faculty member at Skyline Music Center in Westlake for two years. While earning his Master’s Degree from California State University, Fresno, Will taught courses in Saxophone, Ear Training, and Introduction to Piano.
His primary teachers were Greg Banaszak at Baldwin-Wallace College and Dr. Alan Durst at Fresno State. He has also studied jazz with Cleveland-based pianist Joe Hunter.
Mr. Tabar has been offering private instruction since 2002.
