Dana Johnson is currently a junior at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a student of Milan Vitek. Johnson was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and began her studies of violin at age four. At Oberlin, she dedicates much of her time to new music, performing student compositions, performing in Oberlin’s contemporary music ensembles, and as a member of a student-run contemporary music collective, Semble N. Additionally, she has served as concertmaster of the Oberlin Orchestra and Oberlin Chamber Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Johnson recently performed at the Kennedy Center with her string trio, Trio Ligatura.
