Jared Cooper is an Oberlin student hailing from the hot desert of Phoenix, Arizona. He began playing drums at the age of twelve and fell in love with music through performing in his high school’s marching band, while holding down a place in a local jazz jam session, a metal band, and a reggae group. He has spent the last four years studying Jazz Percussion history and technique with Billy Hart in the Oberlin Conservatory and studying history in the college. He has played in clubs in Arizona and Cleveland.
