Poy Winichakul is the Founder and Director of Helping Oberlin Maintain Equity, Inc., a community organization dedicated to helping Oberlin residents access proper foreclosure help resources. Poy, a 2008-2009 Law Scholar and 2010 Cole Scholar, is a double major in Politics and Law & Society. Her academic focus is in social policy and community organizing work. In her time at Oberlin, she has volunteered with First Book, Zion CDC, the Hot Meals Program, and the Ninde Scholars Program. Poy is also involved in Organizing for America and Oberlin College Democrats, and is a head cook for Keep Co-op. Poy has spent her last two summers working for public interest law firms. Over her winter terms, she has conducted field research in Thailand and has interned on Capitol Hill for Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin. Poy enjoys farmer's markets, yoga, and civic engagement.
