A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Thanisa Durongkaveroj is a mixed-media artist and pianist whose work depicts cross-cultural narratives in forms of fine and performing arts. Her recent works include a painting series “The Making of Chinatown,” a personal narrative film, “If You Don’t Mind, Could You Please Say It One More Time,” and a collaborative piano recital “Music and Ballerina.” An aspiring social entrepreneur, Thanisa has served in various leadership roles at Oberlin, including co-chair of the International Student Organization and member of the Strategic Planning Implementation Committee for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity. In 2017, Thanisa interned at the AFL-CIO, for which she covered congressional hearings and provided administrative support on governmental communication.
