Project Description

LumenEd is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 looking to address the education deficit in India through digital content. The mission is to provide an integrated education solution and a means of outreach to communities lacking access to internet or electricity. The product combines a projector, mini-PC, speakers and solar power to display audio-visual content for a classroom-sized audience. This device, coupled with customized educational content, provides a primer learning platform in a low-cost, durable and sustainable package.

LumenEd received a $1,500 LaunchU Venture-Development prize in 2014 and was runner up in 2015 receiving a $5,000 Venture-Development prize
