Kate Chase, Oberlin College Conservatory Class of 1999 was named Acting Director of the campus-wide Creativity and Leadership Project for 2013-2014.

Chase has been an entrepreneur since 2003 when she launched a private practice as a clinical massage therapist specializing in Zero Balancing, a holistic therapy designed by Dr. Fritz Smith, OC '51. She is Faculty for the Zero Balancing Health Association, has an MBA in Sustainable Business and is a Performance and Movement coach drawing jointly on her undergrad performance degree and decade of bodywork expertise.

She's thrilled to be back in Oberlin and has high hopes for the Creativity and Leadership program, its outreach to alumni and students, and contributing to the Oberlin theme of changing the world.

“There is so much good work to do in the world,” says Chase. “With the immense passion and strengths available in the greater Oberlin community, I know we can have a powerful impact as entrepreneurs working toward sustainable, just ventures. The C&L office is here to support students and alumni who want to be bold, try their wings, and launch something.”
