Items Permitted in the Residence Halls
- Hairdryers
- Bean bags with tag stating they're fire retardant
- Candles with unburned wick
- Coffee makers, clothing irons and/or curling iron with automatic shut-off
- Humidifiers & Dehumidifiers
- Kitchen knives with blades less than 6 inches
- Refrigerator not exceeding 5 cubic ft (Length x Height x Depth)
- Small area/throw rugs with tag stating they're fire retardant
The following items are permitted only in Village Housing, and are not permitted in traditional, program, or co-op housing.
- Wooden structures including lofts and room dividers (not permitted in Firelands)
- Water coolers (Any damage the residence sustains from water coolers is solely the responsibility of the house/apartment residents.)
- Cooking appliances (popcorn poppers, hot plates, water heaters, toasters, toaster ovens, microwaves, rice cookers, etc.)
- Curtains
- Grills: George Foreman
- Grills: Charcoal (not permitted in Firelands)
- Grills: 5lbs. or less of charcoal (not permitted in Firelands)
