Room Change Process

The academic year room change waitlist process begins the third Monday of classes.

Room change requests can be made by placing your name on the Housing Waitlist Form. Students are added to a waitlist based on the date and time of request. Requests can be submitted starting the 3rd Monday of each semester. Students are free to make these requests throughout the semester. Actual room changes begin and end as listed below. Room changes are granted based on the order in which they are received and the availability of space.

Step 1:
Complete the Housing Waitlist Form.
Step 2:
As space becomes available, you will be contacted and provided with further instructions. If you have any questions about room changes please feel free to contact your Area Coordinator or the Assistant Director for Housing Administration.
Step 3:
When your room move has been approved you will be notified. You will have 3 days to pick up your key, complete your room move, and drop off the key to your old room and necessary paperwork to the ResEd Office.
If by Day 4 you have not completed your room move you will be sent a follow-up email.
Step 4:
If by Day 6 you have still not completed your move, we will shut off your ID Card and will assess a $50 Improper Check-out Fee to your student account. You will be contacted by phone and will be sent a letter to your OCMR.
Step 5:
On Day 10 you will be charged $60 (to your student account) for a lock change for keyed buildings and cost of removal of any items from the room. You will be sent another letter to your OCMR.

OSCA Changes

Any changes regarding OSCA housing or dining, in or out, must be made through OSCA directly. Their offices are located in Wilder 402, x58108.

Summer

If you would like to request a change in your housing assignment for Fall Semester, submit the Summer Waitlist Form in May. Forms will be processed beginning in June according to semesters in residency and then by time of sign up on the summer waitlist.
