International Students

The Office of International Student Services issues and reviews F-1 visa documents and assists students with matters related to their visa status, social security numbers, taxation, and employment in the United States.  The office also oversees the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program and provides counseling and support on issues of cultural and academic adjustment and other matters.

The office offers special programming and educational events for international students, including a pre-orientation program for new international students.

Oberlin's international student community makes up approximately 7.5% of our student body and includes foreign nationals, dual U.S. and foreign citizens, foreign nationals with permanent residency in the US, and U.S. citizens living aboad.
