International Students
The Office of International Students is dedicated to serving the needs of international students by offering a broad range of services and special programming. The office issues and reviews F-1 visa documents and assists students with matters related to their visa status, employment, social security numbers and taxation in the United States, as well as postgraduate educational and employment plans.
The office also oversees the English as a Second Language Program and provides counseling and support on issues of cultural adjustment as well as academic, and other matters. In addition the office offers special programming and educational events for international students, including a pre-orientation program for new international students.
Oberlin's international student community makes up 13% of our student body and includes foreign nationals, dual U.S. and foreign citizens, U.S. citizens living abroad, and foreign nationals with permanent residency in the U.S.
