Summer Music Programs at Oberlin
More than Music
Each year the Conservatory of Music offers a series of music and voice programs during the summer months. We offer excellent opportunities for high school and college students, teachers, accomplished amateurs, and professionals who want to expand repertoire, improve technique, teaching, and performance skills, and who generally enjoy making and performing music in a supportive and collegial environment.
Our programs—from 1 to 2 weeks—include working with resident and guest faculty, daily master classes, individual and group coaching sessions, audition and performance techniques, among other skills. Participants have full use of our facilities, including practice and study rooms. Depending on the program, participants may also be eligible to receive college credit.
And as time permits, you may explore the wider Oberlin community, including libraries, resturants, biking and walking trails, the Allen Memorial Art Museum, Apollo Theatre, and more.
At the conclusion of the sessions, students may take part in a recital, a group performance, or other program to share and showcase what's been learned. If you desire an enriching and rewarding summer music experience, consider one of those at the conservatory.
