The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion recommends policy, practices, and programs that serve to ensure that services and quality of campus life are supportive of the mission of the college. The office provides information on college policies, practices, and grievance procedures to any member of the campus community and makes referrals to other appropriate offices and committees.

Rebecca Mosely serves as the interim Title IX coordinator. You are welcome to visit or call the office should you have questions or concerns about issues and matters related to equity.

Title IX as Applied to Athletics

Any student with a request or concern relating to gender equity in athletics should, under normal circumstances, first address the concern directly and verbally with the appropriate person. If you participate in a varsity sport, for example, you should talk first with your coach.

Should you continue to have a concern, and wish to proceed informally, take your concern to Athletics Equity Coordinator Eric Lahetta at eric.lahetta@oberlin.edu or (440 775 8543). Informal resolution, however, is not a prerequisite for filing a complaint.

Bring formal complaints to interim Title IX coordinator Rebecca Mosely. The office is in the Carnegie Building, room 204, (440 775 8555). You may make a report online.
