Research Interests: Marko Dumančić is currently working on a book project dealing with the changing conceptions of Cold War masculinity in Soviet film in the fifteen years after Joseph Stalin’s death in 1953. He is also finalizing an essay dealing with the depiction of queerness in post-Yugoslav film.
Prof. Dumančić’s broader research interests include Cold War history, European film history, and history of sexuality in Eastern Europe and Russia.
Teaching interests:
Prof. Dumančić teaches survey courses on Russian history and upper-level courses on the history of European sexualities, Cold War in the Soviet bloc, and Central Asian history.
