Two student major representatives are elected every year. Student representatives take a leadership role in helping to organize Latin American studies student events, in interviewing new hires in the field of Latin American studies, and in representing the interests of Latin American studies majors.
The 2008-09 student representatives are Mary Slattery and Kaitlyn Traynor.
