Swapna Pathak is a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Politics. She has a BA in Journalism, a Masters in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of South Carolina at Columbia, SC. Her research and teaching interests include International Environmental Politics, International Relations Theory, Conflict and Peace Processes, and Politics of South Asia. Her current research focuses on the environmental consequences of international and civil wars, and post-conflict reconstruction of the environment. Before commencing her Ph.D., Swapna worked for the South Asia Analysis Group, a leading research think- tank based in India, focusing on South Asian security issues. She has also contributed to national dailies in India like The Hindu and The Indian Express. |
