New Students
On behalf of the Oberlin family of students, faculty, and staff, congratulations on your admission to Oberlin. We're thrilled that you'll be joining us this fall, and we look forward to meeting you and helping you begin your Oberlin career. In the meantime, we've gathered some useful resources to get you started. Welcome to Oberlin.

Fall Orientation Schedule

Fall 2011 Orientation

Fall Orientation 2012 for students new to Oberlin begins Tuesday, August 28 and continues through Monday, September 3. You'll learn just about everything you need to know about Oberlin (some things you'll learn on your own) in order to make a successful transition to academic life.

To find out what we're planning, check out the preliminary fall 2012 Orientation schedule.

The first two days will include programs for students and parents, with the parents’ sessions concluding at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29.

During the week, we'll have campus tours, academic planning and advising sessions, faculty panels, sessions on financial aid, computing, and multicultural and diversity programming; resource fairs; academic, conservatory, and language placement tests; and several social gatherings to acquaint you with the campus and one another.

Be sure to participate in our popular Day of Service on Saturday, September 1, an opportunity to discover the community while participating in a community service project.
