About Around the Square Around the Square: Your Inside Connection to Oberlin Stories, News, and Events, is an e-newsletter produced by the Office of Communications in cooperation with the Alumni Association for alumni, emeriti, and friends of Oberlin College. Around the Square reports on institutional developments; the achievements of faculty, staff, and students; town-gown news; and events and opportunities for alumni.

How to Receive Around the Square To continue receiving this newsletter, you will need to make sure that the college has your correct e-mail address.
To update your e-mail address: 1) Log on to OBIEweb and click on "My Alumni Profile" in the "Keep in Touch" bar on the left. 2) Click on "Edit My Personal Profile."
If you are not registered on OBIEweb, select "Register for MyObieweb" on the OBIEweb homepage, and follow the simple instructions. You will need your unique security code the first time you enter the online community; your ID number is located in the address label of your Oberlin Alumni Magazine, or request it by e-mail at alumni@oberlin.edu, or by phone at (440) 775-8692.
About the Sections in Around the Square
A column shared by Executive Director of the Alumni Association Danielle Young; Vice President of Communications Ben Jones; the Alumni Association President; and Around the Square Editor Yvonne Gay Fowler.
Profile subjects may be current students, members of the faculty or staff, be they newcomers to the campus community or persons with many years of service.
This section gives students, faculty, and staff members a place to express their points of view on current news topics, community issues, and other related subjects.
Short blasts containing a wide range of information, from events to campus and off-campus news to travel information and important alerts.
News and information specific to alumni, Yeo’r News contains stories about alumni who are involved in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Conservatory of Music, or the Alumni Association. The section also serves as a how-to for alumni seeking to further their involvement, or who are looking for ways to reconnect with the college.
