LGBTQ National Resources
The Sylvia Rivera Law Project Mission statement includes the idea that “gender self-expression is intertwined with racial, social, and economic justice”. Helps to provide access to respectful social, health and legal services for trans and gender variant people. Produced and distributes the Toilet Training documentary about gender policing and public restrooms. 
Queer Deaf Resource Center National non-profit established in 1995 that serves as a resource center for and about the Deaf queer community. Website includes a list of ongoing community related gatherings and events around the world and sponsors a $500 scholarship for deaf lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer students. 
Lambda Legal Civil rights organization for LGBT and HIV-positive people. Website includes information about antidiscrimination policies across the US. 
Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation “Dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.” Website includes articles about LGBT representations in the media and about LGBT people of color in particular. 
Campus PrideNet “National online community and resource network committed to student leaders and campus organizations who work to create a safer campus environment free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and genderism at colleges and universities.”  Provides access to programming, fundraising and organizational management resources. 
XY: Men, Masculinities, and Gender Politics XY is a website focused on men, masculinities, and gender politics. XY is a space for the exploration of issues of gender and sexuality, the daily issues of men's and women's lives, and practical discussion of personal and social change.
LGBTQ Ohio/Local Resources
American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio Includes information LGBT rights in Ohio and active LGBT organizations in Ohio.
Gay People's Chronicle Statewide weekly LGBT newspaper. Features articles about civil rights issues in Ohio and information about local LGBT organizations. 
The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland Features information on getting involved with LGBT initiatives based in Cleveland. Resources on a variety of different meeting groups and programs.

LGBTQ Scholarships
The Point Foundation Provides scholarships to undergrad and graduate students based on involvement in the LGBT community and financial need.
Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund Awards numerous scholarships to transgender identified students in the helping and caring professions including but not limited to social services, HIV/AIDS education, law, teaching and education, religious instruction, medical and health care as well as the sciences.
Audre Lorde Scholarship Award Designed to recognize lesbians and gay men of color who are making significant contributions to their communities. 
Colin Higgins Youth Courage Awards Administers three $10,000 grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth (through age 24) who have stood up to hostility and intolerance based on their sexual orientation and triumphed over bigotry or allies who are working to end homophobia and discrimination against LGBTQ communities . It emphasizes reaching geographically and demographically underserved communities including rural and reservation communities, communities of color, transgender communities, and low-income communities. 
Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund Provide need-based scholarships to “students actively working for peace and justice.” “Recent grantees have been active in the struggle against racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression; building the movement for economic justice; and creating peace through international anti-imperialist solidarity.”
