Transfer of Credit Policy and Regulations

Starting in fall 2013, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music will have a new course credit system and the College of Arts and Sciences will also have revised graduation requirements for all students. The credits continuing students have already earned will count toward progress to graduation in the new system.

Beginning in Fall 2013, courses that apply to requirements for the degree [the Curriculum Exploration; Quantitative and Formal Reasoning (QFR); Writing; and Cultural Diversity (CD) requirements] must be completed at Oberlin College. Work transferred to Oberlin may be counted (within the overall limit of three full academic courses or the equivalent) toward the degree but will not count toward the above requirements.
