Cat in the Cream

Overview

The Cat in the Cream is a student organization as well as a performance space on the Oberlin College Campus. It presents or hosts a great many FREE programs including:

  • Traditional coffehouse fare of folk music, jazz and poetry 
  • Improv and sketch comedy
  • Student theater
  • Dance
  • Storytelling
  • End-of-semester performances by Oberlin Steel and
    The Dead Hear Footsteps radio program.

The Cat is also a fully-functioning coffeehouse that is open when the performance space is in use and for occassional study breaks during the semester. Along with hot and cold beverages, customers can snack on World Famous Cat Cookies - giant homemade chocolate chip or oatmeal and raisin cookies. Vegan options are available!
