Other International Opportunities

International Winter Term Opportunities

Winter Term at Oberlin offers a wonderful opportunity for international travel and study.  See the Winter Term website for information about international projects offered by Oberlin College.

You can also find great descriptions and pictures of winter term projects at the Office of Communications winter term website.

International Summer Opportunities

The Oberlin-in-Italy program is a six-week program in Arezzo, Italy offered for both Conservatory and Arts and Sciences students.

Students interested in non-Oberlin summer programs may wish to research programs online using the links on the Search Resources page of this website.

International internships, service learning and field research opportunities can be complicated due to visa restrictions, employment laws in other countries, and differences in culture.

Some of the study abroad programs that work with Oberlin during the semester also provide internship and field research summer opportunities.  A list of those partners is can be found here.

    Civic Engagement Opportunities

Many study away programs feature the opportunity for students to engage in community service during their semester or year away from campus. Below are some Oberlin Affiliated programs that offer civic engagement with academic study. Many other academic programs—both affiliated and non-affiliated—offer internship or service opportunities as well. This list represents opportunities during the academic year; summer programs may also be available. For information on other civic engagement opportunities, please contact the Bonner Center for Service and Learning, (5-8055) or visit the Bonner CSL website: www.oberlin.edu/bcsl.
