The Oberlin College Parents website is intended to provide you with useful information about the college's programs, resources, policies, and procedures. We've sought to gather together in one place basic information about the college, provide answers to practical questions or point you to the right resource, and generally convey a sense of what Oberlin College is about. We welcome any questions or suggestions you wish to share with us about the website. Send your comments by e-mail to email@example.com.
We would like to update the community regarding the ongoing concern about the Ebola virus. We are not aware of anyone on campus who has traveled during the past several months to or from any of the countries involved in the outbreak. Student Health Services continues to follow Ceners for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and we will closely monitor the situation.
Recent developments have raised the level of concern regarding the presence of the Ebola virus in the United States. For more information on the Ebola virus, visit the CDC website; if you have questions or concerns, please call Student Health Services at 440-775-8180. Individuals who would like to support international efforts to assist those who have been affected by the virus in West Africa can find more information at Doctors Without Borders.

Registration is open through October 29. Should you have questions about the weekend or registering for an event, contact Karen Schrader in the Leadership Giving office at (440) 775-5543 or Tina Zwegat in the Student Union at (440) 775-8167.
Student Health Insurance
Oberlin College requires that all students maintain student health insurance coverage as a condition of enrollment. You may apply for a waiver if your student already has coverage under an alternate health insurance plan that meets certain minimum requirements, meaning that is comparable to the Oberlin College health insurance plan.
Students without health insurance must enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan provided and coordinated by Academic Health Plans (AHP). This plan offers students and their dependents an affordable, high quality health insurance plan. If you have health insurance and wish to waive this plan, you must do so by completing an online waiver form by September 15, 2014.
Refer to the Student Health Services website for complete details about this process. If you have specific questions, call Student Health Services (440) 775-8180 or send e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
