Oberlin College has approximately 200 international students from 40 countries. The Office of International Students serves the needs of all international students in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music by offering a full range of services and advice.
The office issues and reviews F-1 visa documents and assists students with all matters related to their visa status, employment, social security numbers, and taxation in the United States, as well as postgraduate educational and employment plans. The office provides counseling and support on issues of cultural adjustment, academic, career, and personal matters. In addition, the office organizes educational and social events for all international students, including a specialized orientation program for newcomers.
