Little Theater

Oberlin may be small, but that doesn't stop it from thinking big or doing things in a big way. The college is noted for its emphasis on culture and the creative and fine arts: music, dance, theater, art, film, and photography exhibits, food and cultural festivals, and more. Each year, you may expect to see more than 500 concerts and recitals, about 40 theater and dance productions, two Opera Theater programs and a winter-term opera.

These productions, produced by faculty, students, and guest artists, take place in venues throughout campus. Large-scale theater productions, dance performances, and two operas annually are staged in the 500-seat Hall Auditorium. Smaller productions are performed in the Hall Auditorium Annex's Little Theater, which provides a more intimate performance space. The limited seating here gives attendees the opportunity to experience live theater in a more dramatic and personal way.
